Building Our Future

The Time Is Now to Plan For a New Snow Library

We’re asking for your vote and your help

The Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program awards grants that support the design and construction of library buildings throughout the Commonwealth, but the program is highly competitive.

Completed grant applications that are due by May 31, 2024 must demonstrate a town's support for the library and a new building. That's where you come in.

A vote to approve $150,000 will allow Orleans to go forward with an application to the state for a grant that can cover a large part of the construction cost for a new building. Approval of these funds is required for the application. If the town does not receive the grant, these design funds will not be expended.

We believe that our application makes a great case for why Orleans needs a new library. We hope you'll agree. Thank you for your support.
