Dr. Maureen Osborne, a clinical psychologist specializing in gender issues, will discuss current understanding of gender identity, expression, terminology and controversial issues. She will explain the steps in the transgender journey for adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and how important relational ties can be maintained and reworked in the midst of changes in gender awareness and expression. The second class will be a panel discussion among individuals with “Trans” experience, e.g., individuals who have or are in the process of transitioning, parents of transgender children, etc.
