Acting Shakespeare Workshop

  • Snow Library 67 Main Street Orleans, MA United States (map)

The Heritage Theatre of Provincetown proudly announces its "Acting Shakespeare” Workshop on Fridays from July 1 through Sept. 2. This 10-week immersion into all things Shakespeare welcomes everyone, from the beginning actor (or just Shakespeare fan), new to the stage, to the experienced Shakespearean looking for a new monologue or chance to brush up your Shakespeare. Coached by Heritage Theatre’s artistic director, Stuard M. Derrick, classes include lessons in the Elizabethan stage and Elizabethan London, Shakespeare's life, his plays, famous Shakespeareans throughout history—as well as practical guides to acting Shakespeare, schools of acting techniques, and experience with Shakespearean blank verse, monologues and soliloquies.

Classes are free and open to the public and all ages. This is a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere where you will gain confidence, power, and ability to "speak the speech" of the world's greatest playwright. Advanced registration not required. For more information please call (508) 246-3875.
