Come to the Craine Room for a talk on the Pendleton Rescue by Coast Guard Auxiliary member Reid Oslin. The inspiration for the book The Finest Hours and subsequent movie adaptation, the Pendleton Rescue is one of the most famous events in local and Coast Guard history. Reid will walk us through the events of that extraordinary night, telling the story of the four courageous crew members who rescued 32 people from a disastrous shipwreck despite all odds having been against them.
