Joyce Zavorskas

[Note: This show has been indefinitely postponed. Check back for updates.]

Continuing a lifelong connection to earth and ocean, Joyce Zavorskas has exhibited in London, Paris, New York, Philadelphia, California, as well as Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands. Her recent panoramic paintings and monotypes document the constantly changing coastal environment from dawn to dusk. She paints from direct observation in nature throughout the year, hiking cliffs, dunes and waterways with backpack and easel, documenting shifting shadows and tides. Monotypes are created in the colder winter months in her printmaking studio, where she also offers monotype, etching, and solar etching workshops.

Zavorskas received a BFA at Syracuse University, M.A.T. at Bridgewater University, and MFA at MassArt. Residencies include Vermont Studio Center, Master Printmaker at Contemporary Artists Center in North Adams, Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and Artist in Residence at Cape Cod Community College. Her artwork may be viewed at Miller White Fine Arts in Dennis, Left Bank Gallery in Wellfleet, Cape Gallery Framer in Falmouth, Boston Art on Dry Dock Avenue, and the Copley Society on Newbury Street. Collections include Pfizer, Thyssen-Bjornemisza, Fidelity Investments, Seckar & Warburg, London, Provincetown Museum of Art, Cape Cod Museum of Art, and Cahoon Museum of American Art.
